Syncing Things For Mac

How to Sync Your Mac Desktop With Dropbox, or Any Other Cloud Service If you’re syncing between your Mac and a Windows PC, you need to start on the Mac side. On your Mac, you’ll need to create a symbolic link, which needs to be done before the Windows side of things. Additionally (of course) it all needs to sync up with my Mac, via the cloud. The script uses Evernote to achieve a 2 way “sync”: It establishes an Evernote “Inbox” and creates a Things to do for any note in there that was created using an Android device; It reads the “Next” list from Things and maintains an Evernote note that matches that list; NOTES. The script is saved as an application. The Mac app doesn’t use some of the new features in OmniFocus 3: the first tag is used as a context, for instance. It doesn’t understand the new custom perspective rules. But you can still sync your data: it ignores, but otherwise continues to sync, things it doesn’t do.

Hi, We just switched from a provider, who offered an Exchange 2013 hosting to Office 365. I am using a Mac with 10.13.2, Outlook for Mac 15.39.

I also added the account to the calendar, and i can see the exchange account in the contacts. So everything should be fine. Since we swiched the account, my contacts and calendar entries from outlook are gone. Since these were synced to my iPhone, I got no contacts on my phone any more. There are no messages that something is going wrong, so what is the problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks Carsten. Perhaps installing updates will trigger something to sync things. Make sure your Mac has a working internet connection before checking for updates. Install Mac OS X updates followed by Office updates. Install Mac OS X updates first: To get Mac OS updates, go to the App store on your dock, and then click the Updates button to reveal available updates. Then Install Office Updates To get the update:. Open any Office application.

Go to the Help menu and choose Check for Updates. Let AutoUpdate check for and install updates.

Hi Carsten, Generally, the contacts & calendar should be synced to Outlook if we configure the account as Exchange protocol. Please open Outlook, go to “Tools” “Accounts” check the account type whether it is Exchange. (refer to the screenshot) If yes, please update Outlook to the latest version 15.41 to give it a shot.

To update Outlook, please go to 'Help' 'Check for updates.' If not, please re-configure the account to Outlook as Exchange. Or, if the issue persists after updating, please provide some information to narrow down the issue: 1. Is that the contacts & calendar could sync to Outlook before you switched the Exchange 2013 provider? As Outlook just sync the data with server, please check whether the contacts & calendar are existing in Outlook web App.

Could the account send & receive emails from Outlook for Mac? Regards, Hans. Hi meanwhile I got around the contacts with exporting them in a single.olm file and then importing them to the client. I did not test if it works with new contacts though. Before we were using a hosted Exchange server, everything synced fine. With the migration to office 365 I had nothing but problems.

My old calendar entries did not get migrated, no matter which way we tried. The last way was a migration through the client. And now these calendar entries, as well as some e-mails, are subject of a milion Sync error entries in the sync log.

The entries are logging 'Invalid MIME content.' Or 'Operation would change object type, which is not permitted.' Or 'The meeting request has already been sent and might not be updated.' Same thing after updating to 15.41. How can I fix these errors?

Thanks Carsten. Hi Carsten, If the contacts have not been migrated to Office 365, we cannot let them synced to Outlook for Mac. As Outlook for Mac is using EWS protocol to get connection with server.
